Ajay Nagpal is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Millennium, a global alternative investment firm managing over $67.7 billion in assets and employing 5,600 professionals worldwide. Founded in 1989, Millennium is renowned for its disciplined strategies and operational excellence. As a key member of the senior management team, Ajay oversees the firm’s global operations, ensuring efficient execution.
Before joining Millennium, Ajay held senior roles at Barclays, J.P. Morgan, and Lehman Brothers, where he honed expertise in fixed income financing, foreign exchange prime brokerage, and equity sales. His visionary approach and deep knowledge of global financial markets drive strategic innovation in alternative investments, bolstering Millennium’s competitive edge.
Ajay is committed to community engagement and philanthropy, serving on boards such as Echoing Green while supporting diversity initiatives. He earned a BA in International Relations from Brown University and a Master’s in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
