About Jayce Wendell
Jayce Wendell is a freelance writer and brand messaging consultant based in Riverton, Utah. He’s the founder of Wendell & Word, a solo writing studio where he helps early-stage startups, creative teams, and small businesses find the words that move people.
Jayce didn’t set out to be a copywriter. He studied Strategic Communications at Utah Valley University, thinking he’d land in PR or nonprofit work. But after a few hands-on internships in Utah’s tech corridor, he discovered that what he really loved was helping people communicate big ideas in plain, compelling language. One client turned into two. Two turned into ten. And eventually, a business was born.
Over the past decade, Jayce has written for everything from product launches and email funnels to personal brand stories and investor decks. His favorite projects are the ones that sit at the intersection of clarity and voice — where thoughtful strategy meets honest storytelling.
When he’s not writing, you’ll find him hiking with his wife and kids, reading old magazines for headline inspiration, or sketching outlines for his next Substack essay. His writing home base is Wendell & Word, where he publishes essays on branding, storytelling, and the life of a working writer.
