About Nygina Mills
Nygina Mills is a seasoned legal and governance professional with deep expertise in aerospace, defense, and financial services. At the SBA, as Associate General Counsel for Financial Law, she managed an $852 billion loan portfolio and a $26 billion SBIC venture capital portfolio while working closely with major financial institutions nationwide.
Before joining the SBA, Nygina directed strategic initiatives at the U.S. Department of Education, managing a $70 million budget and a $1.4 trillion lending portfolio. Her defense experience includes senior roles at DCAA and DCMA, where she provided legal oversight on contracts for companies like Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing. Nygina also served as a Partner at FisherBroyles, LLP, advising on contracts and corporate matters.
She holds a J.D. from Harvard Law and is a Harvard Business School alumna, recognized as a trusted advisor in both public and private sectors.
